Hi I have been hard at work making items for my new Christmas shop on Folksy, ChristmasByCarol. I have made lots of nativity heart decorations and Advent Calendar bunting. I have so many ideas but the trouble is I don't have time to make everything. Here are a selection of the Christmas decorations I have made lately.

Christmas tree embroidered decorations and Advent calendar.
Hi, Just a short update today on the items I have been making. I have been quilting and sewing a table runner and place mats. I haven't finished these yet but as soon as I have I will post photos. I have completed a set of three embroidered Christmas tree decorations. I bought some gorgeous fabric that I thought would make a lovely night snow scene embroidery. I am really pleased with the results. They look great in the little hoops. I have also stitched two Advent Calendars, one is still waiting to have the hanging rod added but the other is completely finished. I added silver bells to the calendar to give it a little bit extra sparkle.

Advent calendar
Hi, I have just finished making two more advent calendars. This is a really pretty design with a village scene and Santa flying over head. I really enjoy making advent calendars, great fun. Christmas decorations, stocking and advent calendars are for sale at www.etsy.com/shop/BrushesAndBodkins. I now have a lovely Angel design advent calendar to sew.

Christmas Card
Hi,
The year is racing by and all the lovely Christmas decorations are appearing in the shops and online. I love the glitter, shine and sparkle around. I was asked to draw a second Christmas card for the local church. I had drawn a card last year showing the church surrounded by Christmas flowers and foliage. The design worked well and became the basis for the embroidery shown in the previous post. The card has the Christmas services printed inside and looked lovely. This year I took inspiration from the Christmas bauble. I wanted to incorporate the image of the church in the drawing so I drew the church onto
the bauble. The church had to be slightly curved to look as if it was on a round surface. I was very pleased with the final card.
I have also made an advent calendar. This is a lovely design with Santa and his elves. The calendar is for sale in my Etsy BrushesAndBodkins shop.

Advent Calendars and Doll Clothes.
Hi, I haven't written for ages. I am back at work teaching watercolour painting and have made lots of items for very fast approaching Christmas fairs. I have made advent calendars, embroidered cards and knitted dresses for dolls. Lots still to be made. I have cut out felt to make gingerbread men and rudolph the red nosed reindeers. Here are a few pictures of some of the items I have been making.
The doll dresses are knitted from a pattern by Jacqueline Gibb for Jacknitss Design. The patterns are really excellent and are very easy to follow.
