Doll dresses.

What a lovely day today. I went for a walk this morning and I saw my first Bluebells in bloom in the local wood. The English bluebells have such a glorious colour, so intense. I have just arrived home after teaching my Houses and Gardens watercolour course. My students have produced some lovely paintings from the photograph, of an Austrian chalet, I took on holiday last year.

This afternoon I will be finishing some of the doll clothes I am making to list on my shop sites. These little dresses are very pretty and will fit 11.5"-12" fashion dolls.   I have made a basic bodice pattern  and three different styles of skirt (straight, full and gathered) patterns. I can swop these around to make a variety of different dresses and with lots of pretty lace and ribbon added they look very cute.

Advent calendars

Hello,

I have ordered my advent calendar fabric today ready to make them for Christmas. I know its early but I need to be ready well in advance. I have so many ideas for things to make to sell at christmas craft fairs that I have to start now. These are the calendars I made for last year.

Fritillary painting finished.

Hello,

I have finished the Fritillary painting and it looks good. I am pleased with the result. I have two more plants to add to this composition but these are for later in the year, so for now I will cover the painting up and get on with my other passion, making dolls clothes. I am making clothes for the Blythe, Barbie and Liv dolls at the moment. I am just at the cutting out stage so I will let you know how they turn out when they are finished.
Here are the photos of the finished painting.

Fritillary Painting.

           Hello,
I love these flowers and think they are so interesting with the distinctive pattern on the petals. I was delighted to be asked by a friend to paint them as part of a painting showing three of their favourite plants. I have finished all the flowers and am now trying hard to finish the leaves before the plant sets seed. Here is a photograph of the painting so far.
